Worrying about losing weight can be worse for you than the extra pounds.

This section of the today's NY times article on weight and health stood out as something only a few of us have known ....we are very excited to see more media articles finally bringing light to the truth. Worrying about losing weight can worse for you than the extra pounds.

And more importantly that kind of fear based focus can cause a person to focus on perfection when perfection isn't possible. Which can foster unhappiness and more fear. Thank you Tara Parker-Pope.

Love this idea. It really speaks to what we are all about, motivating behavior change from the point of view of adding FUN to Fitness while removing the fear! If we work on changing fitness from that angle we can immediately feel the difference it makes.
